* System Shock Remaster

Holy crap I am so glad I got this one. Spalls, I have this game in my
wishlist!! I thought about buying it because it is on sale right now.
I am so glad I waited. I am still playing the SimTower game I got from
you first but this one is #2 now on my list. This giveaway is perfect
for me! Thank you so much!!!
Well, I'm particularly glad YOU got it, since that was the one game I
told you to stay awake for. It would have been a shame if you'd hung
on through the hours only for somebody else to snatch it away from
you! All that enduring my endless loquacity and to walk away
unrewarded? How disappointingly un-Christmaslike that would have been!
I'm equally glad that it's actually the Remastered version after all.
See, I bought that game as part of a bundle. That bundle had a bunch
of fairly modern FPS releases in it (the "Dark Forces Remaster" was
from the same source, and so too were the Crysis games, I think). So
it made sense that the "System Shock Remaster" should have been a part
of that bundle.
But the thing is: I never actually bothered to _check_ that it was the
Remastered version when I bought the game. Later, when I was compiling
the list* of games and keys, I discovered the page describing what
games I had bought was no longer available. All I had was a link with
the name of the game (just "System Shock") and the key. For all I
knew, I _could_ have been giving away the 1996 version of the game.
Still, it seemed likely it _was_ the remaster, so I just labeled it as
such and hoped for the best. I mean, if I was wrong, whoever got the
game would _still_ have /a/ "System Shock" in their library, and
that's not a bad thing anyway. I'd have just shrugged, nodded in my
bumbling way, apologized for the inconvenience, and accepted that I'd
gotten it wrong again.
Nonetheless, I'm glad it worked out the way I hoped. That game was, in
many ways, the highlight of the Christmas Day give-aways, and ending
with a 28-year old game, no matter how esteemed, wasn't quite the
climax I would have wanted.
I guess it was the CSIPGA Christmas miracle 2024. ;-)
Enjoy the game!
