Its free offer ends in four days. Also, you have to get an account and subscribe on Fantical as a catch.

I have gotten numerous free codes from them over the years. I also
purchased one or two games from them as they were the cheapest at the
time so I think having an account with them is worth it.

Anyway, I took this game, so thank you, but I don't think I am ever
going to play it. :-P

The 911-/112-Operator games have been offered as freebies so often I'm
surprised everyone here doesn't already have a copy. I think I have
the game on Epic, Steam and Amazon (or maybe Twitch, back when they
still gave away games)? I know I've tossed out a few codes for these
games over the years during our Holiday Extravaganzas.

The games are... fine. I like the aesthetics (it reminds me of
"Uplink", anyone remember that game?) with its white-and-blue visuals.
But I remember it as a game that couldn't hold my attention for long.
The mechanics just aren't that exciting, and the underlying narrative
and setting aren't really that notable. It's not a bad game, but it
feels designed to scratch the itch of a small niche of players. A
niche of which I'm not part.

The basic concept does not appeal to me, in large part because I was a
programmer who worked on the Computer-Aided Dispatch systems such
facilities used.  I've sat in the room with the calltakers & dispatchers
and read more incident histories than I can count, including a number
from NYC on 9/11.
Wow. That must be a difficult job. I wonder how accurate these games are.
If the game involves paperwork, making curated recordings of 911 calls and dispatch radio/text traffic, answering stupid questions from people calling for non-emergencies about 25% of your time, sitting around with nothing much to do for 70% of your time and 5% of your time trying to help over the phone people having the worst day of their lives knowing you'll most likely never hear how it ended, then its accurate.
Otherwise not even close.

I've done good in this world. Now I'm tired and just want to be a cranky dirty old man.
