Some people tick off the passage of time in weeks or months; I count
it in number of free games. Well, it's once again time to get one free
game older, 'cause it's Thursday and that's when Epic does its thing.
It's the best way to get older!

* BEYOND BLUE

I've since noticed that Epic has also added a second game (perhaps
they felt embarassment at only offering a title they'd already given
away for free before?)
* HUMANKIND
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/humankind This one is a 4X strategy title; an attempt to dethrone
the Civilization series. It wasn't very successful in that
attempt; poor combat, bugs and just generally poorly-thought
out mechanics made it a game that wasn't all that satisfying
to play. A lot of its ideas were actually quite good, but
the implementation left a lot to be desired. The publisher
didn't seem to be giving it a lot of support either (at least
not when I tried it). I appreciate it for what it tried to
do, but can't really recommend it as something to actually
play.
I hope this trend of sneaking in extra games isn't something Epic
intends to keep at in following weeks. I don't like having to revist
their website more than once every seven days ;-)
