As for me, same old. I want to see if I try a Steam game (Among 3D
demo or Expeditions: A MudRunner Game) tonight before midnight PST in
USA.
Sooner or later you two will end fighting in the Thunder Dome. I'm going
to need an extra-large bucket of popcorn for the occasion.
This time I won't make a list, for a simple reason: I managed to stick
with one single game and not hop between multiple ones, and it's a
lenghty one: Pokémon Leaf Green (2004, GBA).
The remake of the international Gen I game. I have been playing it
since january, given that it is a game i can put away easily and not get
hooked during the exams season. 30 minutes of playtime during the
morning commute, and a bit more during the weekends.
And boy, it feels like a chore. Despite all the QoL improvements over
the original (run button, 60fps, better pokémon storage management),
it's still an excruciating experience due to being faithful to the
original. Awful world design, slow grinding, not enough buttons, the
dreaded HMs requiring again the use of an "HM bitch"... it's made worse
by two extra details: 1) I'm not using legendaries this time, and 2) I
am staying away from the meta and using different monsters, but Nidoking
is still a required monster to make the game fair. On top of that, I
think the game is harder than the original. Less glitches, enemies can
do critical damage and status effects more often, and using Gen III
types changes things a lot.
I just don't know why I am playing this instead of Emerald, which is the
best GBA Pokémon.
