Pretty much all shovelware.

I'd disagree with the last, just because I think "Pacific Drive" _is_
a good game... but it's tailored to a specific niche (that being,
people who like survival games). It really captures that "weird
science" X-Files vibe, where there's all these weird, unexplained
anomalies (not all of them hostile). At times --if the RNG god smiles
upon you-- it's almost pleasant, driving through the pretty (if
stylized) Oregon forests. And there's definitely some challenging fun
as you race through that same wilderness trying to escape an anomaly
storm (or whatever it was called; it's been a while since I played the
game so I forget the exact terminology), skidding down muddy roads and
barreling full-speed through the woods trying to get to an exit portal
in time.

Where the game falls apart (as far as I'm concerned) is the constant
quest for crafting materials to repair your car and build new gadgets.
I find that sort of gameplay quite tedious and repetitive, but it's
heart-n-soul of the survival/crafting genre, and seeing as that's
rather popular, my dislike of the game says more about how my
temperment is unsuited for that style of gameplay than the quality of
the game. If you enjoy that sort of game --and a lot of people do--
then "Pacific Drive" has a lot to offer.

And even people who don't really care for the genre --like myself--
can still probably eke some value out of the game.

TL;DR: say what you want about the other titles (and I think it
definitely applies to at least some of the games this month), but
"Pacific Drive" is not shovelware.
