Not sure if you're serious, but the biggest flaw in the GBA was a passive
LCD display. It was to improve battery life because it took disposable
batteries. Nintendo didn't release a lighted LCD handheld until GBA SP,
which introduced a rechargable. It inspired the DS.

Yes, I was serious. Ugh, passive LCDs. Yeah, I didn't like those on
computer screens. Hence I preferred CRT back then.

It took a very long time before LCD monitors caught up with CRTs with
regard to gaming performance.  22 years or so ago I was still in
competitive e-sports and remember discussing with clanmates that OLED
would probably be the only solution... everything non-CRT back then
was disasterous.  That's almost how long it took to get to a decent
place.  I'm still not going OLED yet because I doubt I'd be happy with
text clarity, but it may get there.  I'm actually more content overall
with what I have now than I've been since CRTs.. between GSYNC and
360hz on an IPS monitor (cap, I never hit that anyway at 1440p)
without old school problems like tearing I really couldn't complain.
Fast IPS monitors finally got to a point where manufacturers had their
shit together.  Too bad it took nearly two and half decades to catch
up to what we had back then.
