I bet Outlaws isn't moddable either, since Bethesda owns the IP for that.

There are mods for "Star Wars: Outlaws"* on nexusmods, so you'd lose
that bet.
I figured. I was just making a whole running gag about Bethesda owning
the patent for "open world games that have lots of bugs which then get
corrected by the modding community instead of the developer."
As for losing the bet, I didn't lose a bet that the modders can't fix
these problems with SW:Outlaws. At least not yet. Depends on how
extensive access to the engine is.

Apperantly the "Snowdrop" engine it uses is not friendly to modding (one
of the things I'm also worried about the Bethesda possibly going to
UE5.) Textures and graphics mods often don't depend on engine.
On a related note, a fan ported all of "Skyrim" to Unreal Engine 5.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFb2g-Nx_fIWell, the world geometry, at least. There's no actual gameplay, but
you can wander about and gawk at the pretty visuals. Technically,
there's nothing stopping him from adding all the scripting to make it
a complete game (except, you know, the vast amount of effort and
possibly legal repercussions from MicroBethesdaActivBlizzarSoft).
Although honestly, I still find the original "Skyrim" to be quite a
visually appealing game, despite its age... and enhanced with a
suitable array of mods it's absolutely gorgeous (although that
splendor is often a bit spotty, as inevitably there are some areas the
mods _don't_ improve).
Which isn't to say I'm against the idea of Bethesda finally leaving
its creaky old engine behind. But it's never been the graphics that
have been my biggest issue with the GameBryo engine.
