April won't be much better TBH, my head is more focused on photography
right now. Getting a full frame DSLR body or developing 35mm film on my
own sound like better investments than a Shitendo Switch 2 (Yes, I'm
pretty angry about the prices).
Nintendo always prices their hardware to make a profit. Only Sony and
Microsoft sell their hardware at a loss, and "attachment" (game
purchasing) tends to cost more than Nintendo as a result. In short, you
pay one way or another. The other companies just spread it over TCO.
And if you think the price is bad now, wait until the US inspired trade
war heats up. I hear dire estimates that the Switch 2 will be at $600.
It's so bad that I just prematurely ordered my next PC build because I
have a reasonable expectation that prices will go nuts.
Or none of that could happen.
Problem is, policy out of the US is inconsistent and arbitrary, and
therefore so are all economic considerations, which in turn drives
inflation up, as corps prepurchase down their supply lines as I just did.
In summary, be thankful it's only $450. I recommend you get it now. It
probably isn't getting cheaper. Tariff wars in a global economy, with
global supply lines in place that can't change quickly, stack up fast.
