Have been having a blast with the new colonization mechanics in Elite
Dangerous.
Currently working on a system with a planet, with an
atmosphere, that is tidally-locked with its star. This means lighting
should stay the same wherever I plonk down a settlement, so if I put it
near the terminator, I'll have the lovely sunset/sunrise colors.
I've been to the surface in such a place, and discovered the lighting
has a rosy hue due to the star color and atmosphere type. Might even
think about "filming" some machinima at such a settlement, because the
light and atmospheric gradient are quite interesting.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, just flew there and took
one:

type: colony), but when I do, it will certainly be named "Ant Colony". \o/
