The big red button of DOOOOOOM
Did someone say DOOM? Classic DOOM? ;)
That'd be a sight to see, somebody playing Doom on 20m x 10m movie
screen, in front of hundreds of others. If that sort of thing became a
regular occurence, it might actually drag me back to the theatre ;-)
Goddamn. I'm considering getting a business loan now.
Don't do it! You'll never make your money back. I wouldn't be going
THAT often to the theatre! ;-)
I actually saw Doom on a theater screen. Well, I don't know if it was
a proper 20m x 10m screen but it looked pretty big at the time (it was
at a con). It was fairly impressive to see the massive cacodemons but
I didn't really give it much of my attention; it was just something
going on in the background rather than a main event. I remember being
more impressed by the tech than by the actual game; back then, it was
a lot harder to output computer images to a projector than it is
today.
Honestly, I'm pretty good with Doom on my big-screen TV. Just a couple
feet away, it's almost as good as a proper movie theatre screen, and
no sticky floors to worry about! ;-)
