Oy, April. Some people like Spring; I'm not one of them. It's not so
much the changing weather or light, it's the heat. I remember Springs
not being so oppressively warm in years past. If it was all bluebells
and 15C degrees, I'd be thrilled... but it's birds tweeting cheerfully
at 3AM and 25C and I'm miserable. Maybe that's why I didn't do as much
gaming as I usually do.
3am bird tweeting?!
It's allergies and yard work for me, I seem to have messed up my elbows somehow so it's painful, but the work can't wait. :(

* Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
It was o.k. I've no desire to ever play it again... Odd since I like Souls like games and Star Wars in general.
* Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
I've no desire to ever play it. Take a game I felt was just o.k. and add a bunch of open world fucking about, no thanks.
Oh, and one last thing: is it just me or would the titles of these two
games be more suited if they were reversed?
Yes, I'm always confusing which is which when it comes to discussing them. Very annoying. They could've just put a II after it and it would be better, especially with all the other SW games to confuse them with.
What Have You Been Playing... IN APRIL 2025?
Dark Souls
I had intended to get 100% achievements as I'd just got that for DS2, and had DS3 a couple years ago. I only need the dark ending. I played up about halfway, but wasn't really feeling it.
Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic.
It's been a long time, though the only other time I played it, it was long after it was originally out. I started running WEG 1e D6 Star Wars RPG, so felt like playing this again to get me more in the mood. Still a great game! I put on one of the community bug fixes and restoration mods. Also a mod to let you play a Jedi from the start (I'm not convinced that's actually a good idea.) The old graphics don't bother me at all and I haven't bothered to install any of the graphics mods, which from the screenshots I've seen generally don't make any noticeable difference (except some of the distant backgrounds like making the city look more solid in one spot.) I did have some trouble getting it to run to begin with which the solution was just to put it in windows xp compatibility mode, but very little issue after that.
There's a few things I don't like, the real-time pause is pretty clunky and it seems to forget your inputs sometimes when switching to other characters to give orders.
The pathing is bad too. I got stuck once behind other characters and had to reload, and I keep having to switch back and forth between characters as I try to transition to new areas and one of them's gotten stuck on some invisible corner or just decided to have a senior moment and stand around with their thumb up their butt. You can't transition until the whole party is at the transition point.
Apparently there's some company working on a remake or remaster or whatever, but it's been years with no updates on that work other than "we're working on some remakes of things."
