 I was just thinking about which game release date last genuinely
excited me. I think it was Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.
 I think there are far more games to be had these days. When game
releases seemed few and far between the anticipation was greater, for
me at least anyway.
 

My last one was Talos Principle II as I loved TP:I and have replayed it about three times. Unfortunately it was a bit of a disappointment as it just don't capture me in the same way. Part of it I feel was sequels are rarely as good a game experience as the first time in but more importantly I think they went too far with the narrative aspect of the game.
In TP:1 the narrative part was there, and I enjoyed it, but it never felt like it got in the way of just solving puzzles.
