The only Molyneux games I ever liked were Syndicate and Magic Carpet.
I did not care for Powermonger, Populous, Theme Park, Dungeon Keeper,
Fable, Space Hulk or Black and White. I am not sure if he is
responsible for all of those titles, but I think he is in some way or
another.
FWIW, Molyneux wasn't behind "Space Hulk". It was created by an
entirely different developer and published under the Electronic Arts
banner (before EA snarfed up Molyneux). Similarly, while "Magic
Carpet" /was/ published by Molyneux's company, Bullfrog, he wasn't
part of its direct development team beyond the usual "I'm the boss'a
this here company" 'executive producer' credit).
I'm more inclined to be favorable to his games, but he's never been my
favorite. I got a some enjoyment out of most of the above-mentioned
games, and recognized the cleverness of their design, but I rarely
stuck with the games beyond the requisite playthrough. The sole
exception being "Syndicate", which fascinated me with its visuals,
world-building, technology and mechanics. His name -at least in the
earlier years- represented a certain degree of /quality/ but not
necessarily something I would greatly enjoy.
