I was always a sucker for Molyneux's games, because really, I can't
remember one I met I didn't like.
The only Molyneux games I ever liked were Syndicate and Magic Carpet.
I did not care for Powermonger, Populous, Theme Park, Dungeon Keeper,
Fable, Space Hulk or Black and White. I am not sure if he is
responsible for all of those titles, but I think he is in some way or
another.
I never played Theme Park as it wasn't something I was interested in to begin with.
Now, I never played Space Hulk computer game, but I did play the board game once. a friend of a friend had it. I remember I didn't particularly liking it and it seeming a bit confusing, but it was the first and only time I'd played it.
I loved all the other ones you mentioned except Fable was more lukewarm. Also Populous 2 and Syndicate 2, though in both cases I thought the original was significantly better.
I never played Fable II or III as they were on xbox. I suppose I could buy and play them as I still have the xbox 360. But with being only lukewarm on the first, I never felt a lot of need.
I think most of his games are a bit too off the beaten path for my
tastes usually. Maybe that is at least part of the reason you like his
games.
Powermonger seems like a fairly basic strategy game from what little I remember, it was fine. Really all I remember is I liked it and the kickin' title music.
The rest I suppose could be considered 'breaking ground' I guess, but most were also at a time when there was a lot of ground breaking.
