Didn't I say I'd be back in seven days? Well, here it's been seven
days, and I'm back! I'm dependable, that's what I am... at least when
it comes to free games.
* Limbo
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/limbo You know how I always poke fun at Indie platformers
for being about young children put into horrific adventures
filled with grisly deaths and using silhouetted characters
as their visuals, and dismay at how they are all so
repetitive and unoriginal? Well, this game _is_ the original,
the one they are all copying. It's a good game, sure, but do
they ALL have to be aping it so closely? Anyway, if you've
none of its successors in your library, you might as well
grab this one (you probably already have it in your library
though, since this is a dupe from 2019) but otherwise, it's
really no different from any of the others.
* Tiny Tina's Wonderlands
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/tiny-tinas-wonderlands Another dupe (this one from 2023). I suspect this one is
being proffered as marketing for the upcoming "Borderlands 4"
(even though, apparently, Tina won't be making a comeback in
that game). It's... fine. Honestly, the Tina character was
marginally interesting for her one game, but Gearbox sucked
what humor and joy there was from the character with too many
expansions. Sort of like what they did with Borderlands as a
whole. But if you've never experienced a "Tiny Tina" you might
get some enjoyment from this one.
Hey, guess what? In seven days, we're doing this all over again
(except, presumably, with different games). Will I be there? You
betcha. You can depend on me!
