XWVM Alpha release on May 25th?

So this kinda jumped up and surprised me. XWVM launched to the public. I
got a few notifications on their Discord for something totally different,
but I looked through the channel and found it released on May 25, 2025.

I don't know why they didn't @everyone the release.

You will, of course, need an original copy of 1993 X-Wing or one of the
repacks/enhanced editions because it runs off the original files.

They also released high definition textures and a "sidecar" of in-flight
mission dialogue ala Tie Fighter.
