This is a fun mod, but not one I am eagerly anticipating. Partly it's
some of the art-design choices, but mostly, well... "X-Wing" isn't
really that great a game. (Heresy, I know). It was far surpassed by
"TIE Fighter", which is much more enjoyable. The levels in "X-Wing"
are often tediously long and too many times rely on specific hidden
triggers to fire off before you get a 'mission successful' result.
As much fun as I have flying the T-65, the game is more often a slog
than a fun experience. And the mod isn't really going to change that.
Still, it's cool that it's finally getting close to release. The
dedication of the modders is exemplary and I can admire that much,
even if their efforts are largely wasted upon me.
