No double threads for once. Nice.
May has been similar to January for me: A cramming month with little
time to play games. While I still played a bit during the first half of
the month, I quit completely as exam dates got closer.
- The Coffin of Andy and Leyley Ep.3: Decay (1/2) (PC/Steam)
I was not looking forward to playing this one after how Episode 2 ended,
but Episode 3 gives a ton of background information that frames the
events of Ep.2 in a different light. Also, pretty cool and original
stuff in the second half of the episode that signals the point where it
really gets interesting.
- Outrun (the arcade original)
One of the cool things where Retroarch has an advantage over classic
Mame is the controller presets. With OutRun, that means that triggers
and analog sticks are already seto to emulate the how the arcade played
with analog pedals and driving wheel.
I have no idea how this will be adapted into a Michael Bay film, unless
the Ferrari is loaded with TNT set to blow if they don't hit the
checkpoint in time, all the other cars explode, the traffic signals
explode, the public explodes, the cows explode, and the popcorn explodes too
- Emulated classics, same as ever.
I have been checking rom packs composed of english fan translations of
japan only titles, or games that were severely butchered by
localization. To name a few... Metal Slader Glory, Samurai Pizza Cats,
Contra, Wanpaku Grafitti (Splatterhouse, but with Michael Jackson
Thriller dances)
Am I forgetting something? Oh, well. Script games on IRC. Duck Hunt and
Trivial.
