Thursday free games again, but this time on Steam and not Epic! It's a
mind-shattering difference!

I think this is the first game being given away for free that I bought
and paid for awhile back. I am guessing this has happened to you
already. :)
I mean, the game /IS/ 13 years old. You can't really expect me to hold
out THAT long before adding it to my library. That would be inhuman.
:)
But, honestly, it's actually a game I wanted to play. Or at least,
felt obligated to play. I stumbled my way through the first game, and
endured more than actually enjoyed the experience. But everyone else
was RAVING about the game, so I figured I must be missing something.
Thus, when "Borderlands 2" released, I purchased it in hopes that THIS
time I'd feel the same magic that made so many other people fall in
love with it.
You may already have guessed that didn't happen.
I did get the other games in the franchise, but that more due to my
hoarder^h^h^h^h^h^h collector's instinct than anything else.
"Borderlands 3" got an incomplete play-through; I didn't care for that
one any more than the others and didn't bother to finish it. I went
back to play the "Tina Tina" dungeon game; that was a fun diversion.
The TellTale adventure game was surprisingly good (probably the most
fun I had with the franchise).
But pretty much everything else in the series I acquired either as
freebies or because they were included in a bundle-purchase. They
weren't games I went out of my way to add to the library.
I suspect the latter will happen with "Borderlands 4". It just isn't
offering me anything I'm really interested in having, beyond
incrementing The Number by one. Especially given Randy's antics.
Recent reviews are Overwhelmingly Negative. I am sure that has
something to do with what you mention above.
