I don't know if the controls were BAD. They were quite DIFFERENT from
other platformers, though, since your character had more momentum and
didn't react in the same way. I didn't LIKE how the game controlled
though. I preferred a more immediate reaction to my button presses.
But arguably the way the character moved was more realistic and -if
you gave the game a chance and learned the new mechanics- it
controlled well.
The different controls were an obstacle, though, and not one I
bothered to overcome.
(Well, I guess I finally did with "Prince of Persia 2" but any muscle
memory I gained from playing that game has long left me and I still
struggle with the original platformers ;-)
