And yes IV is the crazy one where you get super powers and fight aliens.
It feels like a mash up of City of Heroes, Tron, and GTA III SA. I
really enjoyed it when I was missing flying around in CoH. But now you
can just play CoH on Homecoming so no need to play this for that feeling.
Apropos of nothing, I have a sudden urge to play the "Freedom Force"
games again. They were a bit too much silver-age silliness for me
really to get into, but it's been a long time since I played them.
I played the first one and it was pretty good, but I hadn't played it back in the day and it was very old school CRPG, and never felt the need to play it again, or the sequel (though I do own it.) I tend to like the 'create your own' supers though, like the champions TTRPG, or CoH. FF If I remember correctly was kind of generic american hero with some forgettable party NPCs (I say forgettable as I don't remember any of them.)
(Heh. I just went to see if the games were on GOG and learned I
already own them there. Past me was prepared for this eventuality ;-)
I will get around to some of those old game I bought there eventually, really I will.
