      Sure, it's probably just because Civ6 sank like a stone

  A good free game is nice and all, but I still want some lasagna.

I have it on Steam and for some reason loading times were absolutely atrocious. The game itself didn't even run so badly, but it was up to 50 minutes on the loading screen. Most of my playtime in Steam was just waiting for the thing to finally get into the game.
But that was a few years ago, maybe I should try it again on my new computer. (which also already hit the hardware ceiling on some recent releases)
