I'll be frank; I'm having a hard time remembering anything
specific about this one. It was another in a long run of 4X
space games, but between it and games like "Stellaris" or
"Sins of a Solar Empire" I'd be hard pressed to say what makes
this one any different. Reviews seem to indicate it lacks some
of the depth of those other games, which make it a good starting
point for people new to the genre. Sounds good to me, I suppose.
My current space 4X is Master of Orion 2, which includes the Trilarians and Elerians.
It won out over Space Empires IV: Deluxe (not very visually appealing) and Ascendancy (extremely poor AI).
Neither of these are action - one of these days I'm going to pick up Homeworld again because I enjoyed it in the 1990s.
