I could give a shit about needing an Apple account. When I had Android phones AND tablets I had a Google account. In fact, I have had Google and do have Microsoft and Apple accounts on all my devices.
Nothing bad as happened, and in the Google and Microsoft cases that has been a very long time. I also have Google Drive, Google Photos, YouTube Premium, Google Maps, News and use Google Sheets on a regular basis. Those are on all my Windows computers and Apple devices. My laptops are subscribed to Office 365. On my iPhone and iPad ForeFlight is subscribed to the company's services. Required for every 28 day chart updates.
So go twist yourself all up trying to avoid using OS sign-in accounts. Why bother - except for severe paranoia?
Frankly, I don't think you know a thing about using your devices to their full potential.
