You clearly confuse operating systems with system software. They are not
the same. Simply updating a piece of software does not update the OS. Only
an idiot would misunderstand that.

You've made this claim in the past that the only definition of an operating
system is that it's the silly version numbering system that Apple uses.

What you fail to comprehend is there's more to an operating system than a
silly version number, which, let's face it, is almost meaningless.

Android, for example, has dozens (probably scores) of version numbers, all
of which comprise what an update to the operating system would entail.

It's no longer shocking that

And yet I'm the one who provided the cite that Apple has publicly stated
that there is only one operating system at a time that they fully patch.
