Removing some of the unused functions of the CPU may save some power, but I wouldn't have thought it would make much difference.
I'm considering it to be my pihole, quassel core, and finger test
bed. I'll probably just get a rpi3 or 4 for that. We'll see.
The 3B+ or 4B has plenty of power to run Pi Hole, and you only really need the cheaper 2GB Pi 4B for that. The Pi 5 would be overkill as it's faster than most of my old laptops.
