Sujet : How to stop cloudinit confusing me in rpi-imager? De : cl (at) *nospam* isbd.net (Chris Green) Groupes :comp.sys.raspberry-pi Date : 16. I just created a new USB image for a 'clean' Pi 4B. What I got was a repeat of the last one I created several months ago with the previous hostname, username, password and so on.
I'm beginning to think that rpi-imager is too clever for its own good.
I also find that the way it asks about customisation is totally misleading. If you answer 'Yes' to "Would you like to apply OS cusotmisation settings" then you'd expect it to then ask what you want to do. What it **actually** means is do you want to apply the settings it has remembered that you did several months ago! Not to mention that 'No, clear settings' and 'No' are rather confusing.
There should be some sort of help to clarify all this.
Maybe I'll just go back to using 'dd', much more straightforward! :-)
