Wavy rule to indicate gap in table

A user has asked if there is a way to modify \hline to produce a wavy line to use as an indicator that a tabular setting is suspended and resumed, eg (use monospace to view)

I don't immediately see anything on CTAN to do that, but I may have missed it or not been searching for the right term.
