Does anyone know since what version of FreeBSD the cy driver is broken?
Or, up to what version it is useable?
I only know that it still exists in version 12.x and 13.x and
disapperared completely in version 14.x.

JFTR: So the last version with a working cy driver is 7.4.
I don't have that hardware, so cannot say anything about
the last version of FreeBSD where it actually worked. This
bug report suggests that it has been broken for a long time.
Same here. My hardware isn't ancient enough to get version 7.4
installed.
As far as I read in the link you posted, the logical conclusion is IMHO
that version 7.4 is the last one with a functional cy driver, for with
version 8.0 they changed some basic serial functions leading to cy not
to work any more.
