That's a fine property. - Too bad one has to write one's own piece
of software to get a more sensibly defined product.
I forgot to ask; wasn't it an option to use any existing text oriented
newsreader (nn, rtin, ...)?
(I recall I liked 'nn' a lot back these days.)
