Foreign Policy on whether Donald Trump will nominate Robert Lighthizer
to succeed Katherine Tai at USTR.GOV, will Narendra Modi's body shop
industry be included in .US/.IN trade negotiations, and will John
Thune's Senate.GOV consent:

| There is thus far no reason to believe the two leaders won't just
| pick up where they left off. But Trump's transactional worldview
| also caused a degree of friction, with his "America First" doctrine
| clashing with Modi's "Make in India" policy. On immigration (the
| topic closest to Indian hearts as the largest group of applicants by
| far for U.S. work visas), Trump imposed multiple restrictions on the
| H-1B visa program that thousands of Indians use to enter the United
| States every year. While Biden maintained some of those H-1B
| restrictions early in his administration, he has subsequently eased
| many of the immigration restrictions Trump put in place. Trump has
| slammed the H-1B program in the past as unfair to U.S. workers but
| has thus far not indicated how he would approach it this time
| around.

Will Trump enlist VP JD Vance as Deputy Chief Salescritter for Trump's
bi-partisan, comprehensive, merit-based immigration reform legislative
legacy authored by the Cheap Labor Lobby and passed my Mike Johnson's
House.GOV and John Thune's Senate.GOV and who among the 2028 strivers
for WhiteHouse.GOV does Susie Wiles believe will outflank Trump-Vance
from the right on the National Question by inviting the likes of Mike
Emmons onto his campaign stage to stump against poaching Modi's top two
quintiles of his 1B country?

"Why aren't wages rising more quickly? @RyanGirdusky nails it:
"simply because we still have massive H-2B visa, massive H-1B visa,
and over 1 million legal immigrants per year." - Paul Gosar
