| The proposed H-1B visa restrictions under the Trump 2.0 cabinet
| could potentially serve as PM Modi's Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-
| Reliant India) initiative by accelerating "reforms in domestic
| production, self-reliance, and inward investment," according to an
| SBI report.
| The report explores the likelihood of US President-elect Donald
| Trump implementing stricter rules on the H-1B visa program. While
| such regulations would increase costs for Indian IT and ITes sectors
| operating in the US, the report suggests they could also present "an
| opportunity for India to bolster its own domestic manufacturing
| through the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative."
