| But TikTok and ByteDance's H-1B recruiting efforts dramatically
| over-indexed toward China. Only 12 per cent of all approved
| financial year 2023 H-1B applications were for mainland Chinese
| nationals, compared to 61 per cent of TikTok and ByteDance's
| approved applications.

| India ranked second among countries or regions where TikTok and
| ByteDance earned H-1B approvals in financial year 2023, followed by
| Taiwan, Canada and Vietnam.
