American Airlines is testing new technology to end a process known as
"gate lice," which is when passengers cut lines in hopes of boarding a
flight early.

The system audibly flags when a passenger attempts to board the plane
before their designated assignment is called.

Interesting! I didn't even know this was a problem. I always make it a point to board the plane as late as humanly possible, to minimize the time I have to spend with complete strangers in a small metal and/or carbon fibre tube.
I find modern flying to unpleasant that I try to avoid it at all cost.
On the extremely rare occasions my wife forces me onto long flights I always fly business, so I can have a sealed off little cocoon and not have to interact with any other people on the plane. This still doesn't stop it from being a revolting experience, but it somewhat lessens the pain.
If I was a billionaire, one of my first changes in life would be to quickly acquire a private jet or a small one engine jet plane.
