Soup lovers, brace yourselves for a significant change in the culinary world. The Campbell Soup Company, with 155 years of history, has decided to drop the word 'soup' from its name. From now on, the company will be known as The Campbell's Company. This announcement was made by CEO Mark Clouse, who explained that this decision is part of a broader effort to expand the company's focus towards snacks and jarred sauces, beyond soups.
The name change is a strategic move that seeks to retain the iconic recognition of the company's name while better reflecting the breadth of its product portfolio. According to Clouse, this change is 'subtle but important,' as it maintains the reputation and value built over more than a century and a half.

Does the value of the famous Andy Walhol painting increase, decrease. or remain unchanged? That's about the only relevance I see to the name change. This name change is like in recent years when 'Dunkin' Donuts' dropped the 'Donuts'. Nobody really notices.
