A few months ago, while visiting my son, Danny in LA, I got an ear
infection. I went to a MinuteClinic. The nurse practitioner looked at
all of my info, including my age, and said that their protocol for
people over 70 was to give them five words at the beginning of the
exam. 1
Then they would ask me to repeat them later on; the idea was to make
sure that I could grasp instructions, that I was not in the midst of
dementia. So the five words were not, as Trump says, a measure of his
brilliance. Years later, he clearly has deteriorated. Serious decline.
2
So here is my plea to journalists doing interviews with Trump. Start
by giving him five words--not man, woman, person, camera, TV. At the
end of the interview, ask him to repeat them. Let's see if he can do
it again!
