'Bad Omen': Ancient Pyramid in Mexico Collapses Into Pile of Rubble
Extreme weather events and rising seas are putting precious heritage
sites around the world in harm's way.
A stone pyramid in Mexico is the latest to succumb to an increasingly
chaotic global climate. On the night of July 29, the 15-meter-high
(roughly 50-foot-high) square monument located in the state of
Michoacan suddenly slumped under the pressure of incessant rain, its
south wall crumbling into a pile of rubble.

Do you think the fact that they're a few thousand years old might factor in its collapse? I'm sure the pyramid has put up with periods of heavy rain before.
