Of course not. I also read that the state of the russian economy is worsening. If it becomes even worse, pressure will mount to do something drastic to distract the population. I do not think his image could stand a cease-fire where Ukraine does not give away land. That would be seen as weakness by his enemies. Cease-fire + Nato membership would be a half loss for russia.
