Skiers rescued from 1,000 foot fall near Steven's Pass after SOS alert
from Apple Watch
SKYKOMISH, Wash. -- New video has emerged showing the dramatic rescue
of three skiers near Steven's Pass.
The rescue operation took place on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, just
after sunset, when King County Air Support received an SOS alert via
satellite from one of the skier's Apple Watches.
Initially, the rescue team was informed that a skier had fallen
approximately 1,000 feet and sustained a leg injury. Upon arrival,
they discovered that another skier was also injured and unable to
walk.
