In the government there is a lot of make believe jobs that don't have any purpose. Many people in the government have not worked a single day in their lives, but just lived happily on the tax payers teat.

Hahaha... Mr K. is a clown, and not an economist! =D But regardless, Trump knows that tariffs are bad for the economy, but you missed the news. Trumps tariff are a bargaining chip, not something he believe will make life better.
So you just wait and see when Canada and Mexico will kneel before their master, and the tarriffs will come down. =)
Colombia already swore fealty to Trump, and they are now happy campers! I've read that the economy there grew 2% over night, once they knelt in front of Trump.
