With the U.S. instigating trade wars with her own partners, the Russian ambassador is correct; why bother?
This is the truth! We have moved into a multi-polar world, with rapidly shifting opportunitstic alliances. Big, slow and antiquated blocks like the EU will lose big in this new world order, as can already be seen by the humiliated of Trump and Putin by not allowing them a seat at the table.
Zelensky was right. If EU wants a say, then the EU needs to show that it has any kind of relevance in the world today. So far, I do not see it.
The EU is good at socialism, and regulating markets and people to death. Beyond that, it has achieved very little in the past few decades.
What will be very interesting is to see if we'll get a few exists from the EU. I can easily see Hungary and Slovakia break away, if lured with equivalent amount of money by Russia.
I am also curious about the future of sweden. As the EU collapses, eventually sweden will get an ultimatum of stay or leave, since sweden is currently in the EU but _not_ the Euro, which gives it a modicum of freedom over its own future.
Sadly I think the swedes are so retarded that they would vote for the Euro, despite science having proven that sweden has benefitted massively in terms of retained jobs, by staying outside it.
The next 4 years will be very exciting! I wonder if we'll see a new war on the european continent? I think, personally, that a new war in europe will take a bit longer. Perhaps 5-10 years or so.
