This is true, but at the end of the day, each nation is ultimately responsible for the defense of its own territory with violence. If they cannot muster the violence to defend it, there's not much to do about it.
I am surprised that Ukraine does not lower the limit for military service to 18 years old, and send _everyone_ into the war. I think the current age limit is 27 or something. There needs to be a draft.
Another thing I thought about is why Ukraine does not buy soldiers from some US "security" company, or why they don't enlist south american mercenaries from various drug cartels?
Unorthodox, yes, but I think they will get much more bang for the buck that way, than what they are currently doing.
OTOH, if the USA did control Ukrainian power plants it's highly
unlikely that the Russians would ever bomb them... so maybe
there is a method in the madness?
