This is why it won't last. If Trump doesn't realize it, his billionaire friends, or the republican millionaire politicians will one way or another force him to retract.
He will then claim that what ever comes out of it, in terms of concessions, was what he planned all along, and will then quickly forget all about it. Then move on to the next target.
I wonder how long it will take though? 1 month, 3 or 12? I bet it will be over in 3-4 months or so.
