He is aware of right vs wrong, but has followed a social climbing
path.  He may have drifted into Catholicism for political points.

So being in a submissive position, he follows others' tunes, but if
elevated to a dominant role, he might modify previous stances.

Project 2025 engagement is a wild card....unless he perceives himself
as a 'special' person.  Philosophically, he appears to be limited.
