Eat the Tariff

CEOs/CFOs must 'mind' the shareholders' interest, or be sued by the
shareholders.

So, corporate either jacks  up the price on other merchandise to keep
shareholders happy, or they increase prices on affected items.

As noted, merchants do not like to lower prices when their cost
decreases.

It's puzzling why the buffoon ignored this reality, and even more
puzzling his immature perspective of tariff issues. He screwed the
pooch, and now wants others to cover his wrongdoing.
