What was the status of these Hispanic immigrants with their rent payments? If they were up to date and have been good tenants, the landlord should be reported and get a record of the report. However, were these the type of tenants who created problems for their landlords? As a former landlord, I can tell you that evicting non-paying tenants or those destroying property, or those creating disturbances, is not an easy process. When faced with a "bad" tenant, I don't blame the landlords for doing whatever is necessary to rid themselves of problem tenants.
