Statistically, I wonder if "illegals" when they become a US citizen
tend to vote more for Ds than Rs.

I suspect that's why Rs are Gung-ho for these round-ups

End result here is businesses will have to pay higher labor costs
since fewer workers are available.  Businesses do not like low
unemployment, cause about 3-4% of those applying tend to be problem
workers, so higher wages are required to get better workers.
