to have just been itching for an opportunity to do something like this.

 
At any time Hamas could have raised a white flag....other nations
would have done so....long before Gaza became rubble...but "defeat" is
not an option for Hamas.
 

Not only that, they still have a f*ing hostage!  They are morons.  I
pity the Palestinian people, but am 100% supportive of crushing Hamas
like a cockroach. The Palestinians deserve better than these shitheads
responsible for their current plight.
