I'm hoping the brand it permanently tarnished and toxic.
stripped-down versions of the Model 3 and Model Y
Translation - Cash flow issue....any new model, like the killed Model
2 requires $$$ for adapting assembly line, etc., etc.
Tesla bought newer assembly line equipment, and most likely with loan
repayments. The same for that German based plant.
I don't follow Tesla, but I suspect Tesla is not doing so well these
days....and his CFO might be doing some creative accounting.
Tesla's latest twelve-month capital expenditure (as of March 2025) is
$10.057 billion.

"Capital expenditures are purchases made by a company and capitalized
on a balance sheet rather than being fully expensed at the time of
purchase. Assets that are capitalized can be accounted for over their
useful lifetime and depreciated."
