Massive Telegram outage across Russia: most complaints from Moscow and St. Petersburg, only VPN solves the problem
Over the last hour, about 1,000 complaints have been received. Many users can't access the web version, and media files and stickers are loading slowly.
Zakharova: It's time to take the Russian messenger Max to the global level. At the moment, the platform is available in about 20 countries, but this is not enough. It should be open to the whole world!
Peskov stated that it's "critically important" to convey Russia's position to residents of neighboring countries through a domestic resource, and the authorities are not working with Telegram in this regard.
However, earlier MAX was presented as an exclusively national messenger with access via Russian and Belarusian SIM cards to protect against fraudsters and foreign special services. Now the concept has fundamentally changed.
